Bashundhara aims at exporting A4 paper
Bashundhara Paper Mills Ltd, the largest paper and tissue manufacturing company of the country, is set to export A4 paper in abroad soon.
Mustafizur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director of the Bashundhara Group made the comments while presenting gifts to two winners of Bashundhara A4 paper mobile recharge campaign.
Bashundhara Group Director Yeasha Sobhan handed over the prizes among the winners at Bashundhara Industrial Headquarter-2 in the city on Sunday.
Md Masuduzzaman, Head of Sales of Bashundhara Paper Mills was also present at the programme.
Mustafizur Rahman said that Bashundhara Group is going to export ‘A4 paper’ abroad soon. Bashundhara A4 paper has gained the confidence of its customers across the country and it captured 90 percent market share of A4 paper.
Once the country was cent percent dependent on imported A4 paper, and now the scenario has changed, he said adding that Bashundhara launched A4 size paper in the market 4 years ago and gained popularity among the consumers in the short period of time.
“We have captured 90 percent share of the local market during this short span of time. Besides, other local brands also came into the market which results the dominancy of locally-produced paper in the country. We are increasing our production and soon we will export Bashundhara A4 paper”, said Mustafizur Rahman.
Addressing the programme, Masuduzzaman said that Bashundhara has become market leader in the country owing to its quality paper. It produces 65 gsm, 70gsm and 80gsm A4 size papers which gained confidence of the customers.
Explaining the scratch card offer, he said, “We launched an offer for the A4 paper customers. Customers who bought a reel of Bashundhara A4 paper received a scratch card holding a secret number. Customers were asked to send a SMS to the secret number and got Tk 10 mobile recharge instantly.
Among the SMS senders, two lucky winners got mobiles”.
He also said that the offer is not ended here. Two more phases are still left which will take place in future.
In this phase, Nepal Chandra Roy of Narayanganj and Jahid Hasan from Khulna won Samsung mobile handsets as their prizes.
They expressed their happiness after receiving the prize at the programme.
