Bashundhara Cement organises workshop for masons in Shariatpur
Bashundhara Cement, a concern of the country’s leading business conglomerate Bashundhara Group, arranged a workshop for masons in Shariatpur on Monday.
Over 100 masons, dealers and retailers from different parts of the area attended the programme.
The masons were imparted training on proper and proportionate use of cement and other materials to ensure durability of a structure at the programme.
Sheikh M Selim, area sales manager (Shariatpur) of Bashundhara Cement, Engr M Salauddin, project service engineer (Shariatpur) of Bashundhara Cement, Engr M Toufiqul Islam, technical support engineer of Bashundhara Cement, M Hafiz Uddin Moron Bepari, proprietor of M/S Bismillah Enterprise, and Ramkrishna Ghosh, proprietor of M/S Ghosh Enterprise, among others, spoke at the programme.
They said Bashundhara Cement, which produces cement in automated machines following German technology, is the country’s largest industry in this sector having a capacity of producing 5.05 million tonnes of cement. Bashundhara Cement is used in the construction of Padma Bridge, river training for the project, approach road, Mohipal flyover and other mega structures, they added.
Besides, the quality of Bashundhara Cement and its technical aspects in construction work were explained through a power-point presentation at the programme.
