Bashundhara Group Independence Cup Kabaddi’s final leg will commence amid much fanfare at Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium (STAIS) in the capital today.
A press conference was organised regarding the event at Bangladesh Olympic Association Auditorium in the capital where Bashundhara Group was announced the sponsor of this meet on Thursday. The logo of the tournament was also unveiled during the event.
The tournament is being organised by Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation (BKF) and being sponsored by Bashundhara Group.
BKF General Secretary and Additional Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Habibur Rahman was present in the press conference along with Joint General Secretary Additional DIG Gazi Md Mozammel Haque, Tournament Committee Chairman Amir Hossain Patwary, Head of Division (Sales) of Bashundhara LP Gas Limited and Sunderban Industrial Complex Ltd Mir TI Faruk Rizvi, Head of Sales and Marketing, Bashundhara Food & Beverage Industries Ltd MM Jashim Uddin, Wasabi Fashion Ltd Chairman Yasir Ahmed Khan, Runner Land Development Ltd Deputy Managing Director M Anwarul Ajim and Wasabi Fashion Ltd Brand Ambassador M Sakhawat Hossain.
BKF President and Inspector General of Police Dr Javed Patwary will inaugurate the tournament on 04:00pm as the inaugural match will be held at that time also. Bagura will take on Khulna in the inaugural match of the day.
Later on the day, Mymensingh will face off Sylhet at 5:00pm, Dinajpur and Barisal will lock horns at 6:00pm and Madaripur will battle Chattogram on 7:00pm.
