Bashundhara Kings Cup football in Rangpur from April
With an aim to unearth the most promising and young football talents of Bangladesh, Bashundhara Kings will organise Bashundhara Kings Cup Football Tournament in Rangpur. The tournament is scheduled commence from first week of April. Bashundhara Kings General Secretary Minhajul Islam Minhaj confirmed the news during a press conference at Rangpur District Sports Association office in Rangpur on Friday.
Minhaj stated that Bashundhara Kings are planning to restore the lost pride of Bangladesh’s footballing tradition and they want to begin their journey from Rangpur.
Total eight district teams from Rangpur division will take part in Bashundhara Kings Cup tournament. The selected players from the meet will be provided with long-term training facilities. They will also represent Bashundhara Kings.
The organisers hope to host Bashundhara Kings Cup Tournament in all the divisions in future. Each team participating in the tournament can pick players from their own district and can also hire a maximum of three overseas players to increase the quality of competition.
Besides, Bashundhara Kings are also planning to organise Bashundhara Cup Under-12 football tournament after Bashundhara Kings Cup tournament.
Bashundhara Kings Event and Marketing Manager Jakir Hossain Rony alongside Rangpur Division Sports Council General Secretary Golam Rabbani Biplob, Rangpur District Football Association General Secretary Samim Khan Miskin, Bashundhara Kings Rangpur branch President and Rangpur City Corporation Councilor Mahmudur Rahman Titu and other club officials and sports council members were present in the press meet.
