Bashundhara LP Gas Limited, a concern of the country’s leading business conglomerate Bashundhara Group, organised a safety campaign titled “Safe Home” in Noakhali on Thursday.
A total of 100 housewives took part in the programme at Green Hall Chinese Restaurant in the district headquarters.
Head of Division, Sales Mir TI Faruk Rijvy of the Bashundhara LP Gas Limited was present as the chief guest at the programme where famous Actress Dipa Khandakar was also present.
Addressing the programme, Faruk Rijvy said LP gas is very easy to use and carry as well.
“But, everybody should be aware of the quality of LP gas cylinder as accidents are taking place through explosion and leakage of LG gas cylinder in different areas of the country very frequently,” he said.
Considering safety of the users, Bashundhara LP Gas Limited has been producing and marketing safe cylinders after proper laboratory tests and maintaining standards, said Faruk.
Bashundhara LP Gas Limited has successfully held the safety campaign and workshop in 34 districts in the country, he said.
The head of division also put up different aspects of use and safety of the LP gas and important information to identify the substandard cylinders.
Actress Dipa Khandakar said the initiative to make women aware of the issue is appreciable.
“The spontaneous participation of the housewives at the programme will surely help them to avert untoward incident while cooking with the LP gas,” Dipa observed.
She also highlighted the reasons of health hazards during the cooking and gave tips to avoid them.
Senior officials of the sales and activation team of Bashundhara LP Gas, local distributors and eminent persons were present at the programme.
Winners of raffle draw were also awarded prizes at the function.
Mentionable, the company has started its fourth round of the nationwide awareness and safety campaign from October 19.
The campaign will be conducted in all parts of the country gradually to raise awareness about the proper use of LP gas to avert any untoward accident.
