Foundation stone of BFBIL flour mills laid

Additional Managing Director of the Bashundhara Group Mr. Safwan Sobhan is offering special prayer after ground breaking and stone lying ceremony of the flour mills of Bashundhara Food & Beverage Industries Limited at Keraniganj.
Dhaka, April 8, 2010:
Ground-breaking and foundation stone lying ceremony of an integrated flour mills, a component of the Bashundhara Food and Beverage Industries Limited (BFBIL), ended at the project site at Pangaon in South Keraniganj this morning.
Additional Managing Director of the Bashundhara Group (BG) Mr. Safwan Sobhan placed the foundation stone of the proposed flour mills after breaking the ground as the chief guest.
Chief Advisor to the BG Chairman Mr. Mahbub Morshed Hasan, Advisor (Press & Media) Mohammad Abu Tayeb, Chief Engineer of the BFBIL Abdus Sattar, Senior Executive Director (BG Constructions) Engineer Aman Ullah, Senior Executive Director (EWPD Constructions) Engineer Monayem Hossain, Senior Executive Director (EWPD Design) Engineer Haris Mian, Senior General Manager (River View Project) Engineer Helaluddin, Senior General Manager (EWPD Constructions) Engineer Indrajit Kumar and the local elites and seniors among others joined the foundation lying ceremony.
The chief guest and his companions also offered special prayer arranged to mark the ground-breaking and the foundation lying of the factory. Senior faculty of the Bashundhara Jamiat-ul-Abrar Madrasa – Moulana Abdul Kader led the special prayer.
Earlier, recitation from the holy Quran and special prayer were also offered at different mosque and Madrasa’s in the area. Sweetmeats were also distributed among the villagers and the guests joined the function.
Mr. Safwan Sobhan went around the project site and inquired about the issues important for the implantation of the complex. Hundreds of villagers and enthusiastic on-lookers thronged the project site during his visit. He also waived hands to the crowded villagers and exchanged compliments.
Addressing the gathering Mr. Safwan Sobhan said that the essentials of different kinds would become affordable for the common consumers when the planned factories of the complex start production.
He also recalled willful exploitations of the helpless consumers by the dishonest and vested quarters mainly at the advent of the holy Ramzan and other occasions and hoped that the productions of this complex would help resist the unholy bids of the greedy traders.
Narrating the speculated potentials of the complex he said that the project would generate several thousand direct and indirect employments apart from producing skill workforce for the upcoming hi-tech industries.
With production capacity of 1000 metric tones of flour and peripheral foodstuff a day, the factory will also produce substantial quantity of fish and poultry feed raw materials. The Italian Mills Services is supplying the plant.
