Iftar fair at ICCB gets huge response

Iftar market with a ray of Old Dhaka’s famous iftar delicacies at the city’s International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) has received a huge response from food lovers.
People, who are keen to have a taste of Old Dhaka’s famous iftar items, throng the venue at ICCB every day.
Titled ‘Puran Dhaka Iftar Bazar’, the iftar fair at ICCB is unique and it has opened an opportunity for the city people to have the taste of popular iftar items easily.
“Every year I plan to go Puran Dhaka to buy popular iftar items for my family, but I cannot manage it braving the huge Ramadan traffic. But the Iftar Bazar at ICCB has brought a good opportunity for all of us to have Old Dhaka iftar delicacies under same roof”, said Abdul Baten, a resident of Uttara.
“This year it was just awesome. I went to the Iftar Bazar last year too, but the change, enthusiasm and participation were just too good…good for the auto enthusiast here in BD, said Shah Asif Rahman wrote in ICCB’s official Facebook site.
Sanjida Sharmin, senior executive of ICCB, said the event gets huge response from customers every day.
The Iftar Bazar at ICCB has the party arrangement at the venue. Families can arrange iftar party where country’s renowned iftar item makers like Puran Dhaka Express, Master Chef Subrat Ali, Nanna Biriyani, Mama Halim, Baba Rafi, Premier, Boro Baper Polai Khai, Nannu’s Food Factory, Moghal-E-Azam, Bohera, Rangdhanu Rasui and Tehari on Wheels are pulling in a large number of customers with their food aroma every day, she said.
In the iftar fair, Boro Baper Polai Khai is selling at Tk 1200 per kg, mutton rezala at Tk 1500 per kg, chicken mossallap at Tk 500 per piece, beef kalijira at Tk 1200 per kg, beef nehari at Tk 600 per kg, ponir samosa at Tk 30 per piece, chicken spring at Tk 40 per piece, chicken lolipop at Tk 80, chicken bar BQ at Tk 150, reshmi shahi jilapi at Tk 800 per kg, shahi jilapi at Tk 500 per kg and many other food items are being sold at reasonable prices.
According to organisers, a total of 58 stalls are taking part in this year’s Iftar Bazar, which will continue until the 27th of Ramadan.
