A month-long cooking show titled ‘Bashundhara Tarokader Rannaghar’ will be aired during the holy month of Ramadan with the participation of underprivileged people of the society.
The 30-episode programme will be aired on private television channel ATN Bangla with support from one of the country’s largest industrial conglomerates Bashundhara Group.
Actress Jannatul Peya will host the cooking show featuring prominent celebrities and noted cultural activists including signer Momtaz Begum, MP and actor Moushumi in different episodes.
A formal announcement of the show was made at a press conference at Bashundhara Industrial Headquarters-2 in the capital on Wednesday.
Captain (retd) Shaikh Ehsan Reza, head of human resources (sector-A); ZM Ahmed Prince, head of business development (Sector-A) and MM Jasim Uddin, head of marketing and sales of Bashundhara Food and Beverage Industries Ltd, Mir TI Faruk Rizvi, head of Marketing and sales of Bashundhara LP Gas; and Towfique Hasan, General Manager (Marketing) of Bashundhara Paper Mills Ltd, were present at the press conference.
Bashundhara Group is sponsoring the show to support the underprivileged and neglected people of the society in the holy month of Ramadan, they said.
Mentioning that viewers of all age groups will find the show enjoyable, the Bashundhara Group officials called upon people from all walks of life to stand by underprivileged people in Ramadan, the month of solidarity.
Planned and directed by Anonna Ruma, the programme will be produced by Channel Live Entertainment.
