Bashundhara Group will set up an LP gas plant in Dhaka considering the growing demand of bottled gas in the country. Bashundhara Group Vice-Chairman Safiat Sobhan Sanvir disclosed the plan while speaking at a view-exchange meeting with the distributors of Bashundhara LP Gas at Roseview Hotel in Sylhet. He said the plant will be built very soon and as a result of which there will be no crisis of cylinder in the market within the next one or one and a half months. The view-exchange meeting was organised as part of the analysis of market situation of Bashundhara LP gas in the remote areas of Sylhet. Distributors of Sylhet and its adjacent areas took part in the view-exchange meeting. Head of Division (Marketing), Bashundhara LP Gas, MM Jashim Uddin, Head of Division (Accounts and Finance), Mahbub Alam, Head of Division (Sales), Mir TI Faruk Rizvi, Deputy General Manager (Operations and Planning), Jakaria Jalal, Secretary to Vice Chairman Md Shariful Islam were also present on the occasion. BG Vice Chairman said the production capacity of LP gas is being increased, not for less supply, rather crisis of bottled gas is being created due to increase in demand, and this crisis will be resolved within a month. Informing that the Dhaka’s plant will be set up very soon, he said once this plant is opened, there will be no need to bring the product from Mongla, and it will be possible to reach the product within short time to Sylhet or other parts. “Bashundhara LP Gas is marketed after laboratory test for keeping it safe, as a result there have no risk of accident and for this our product has gained popularity in the market as a consumer-and-distributor-friendly product,” Safiat Sobhan added.
