Chairman of the Bashundhara Group Ahmed Akbar Sobhan today announced taka one million grants for the family of Journalist Dinesh Das, a senior correspondent of the Daily Amader Shomoy, died at a tragic accident at Kakrail on Sunday. The announcement came from a meeting of the East West Media Group Ltd held at the Chairman’s Secretariat this afternoon. He condoled the death of the journalist and prayed for the salvation of his departed soul. Managing Director of the Bashundhara Group Sayem Sobhan, Chief Advisor to Chairman, BG Mahaboob Morshed Hassan, Editor-in-Charge of Kaler Kantho Imdadul Haq Milon, Editor-in-Charge of Bangladesh Pratidin Naem Nizam, Deputy Managing Director of the Bashundhara Group Touhidul Islam, Advisor (Press & Media) Mohammad Abu Tayeb, Executive Director Liaqot Hossain and Senior journalists of the East West Media Group Limited were also present at the meeting. The cheque will be handed over to the bereaved family at a simple ceremony early next week.
