Rangpur-Comilla match resumes today

Rangpur-Comilla match resumes today

The rain-disrupted second qualifier of Bangladesh Premier League between Rangpur Riders and Comilla Victorians will resume at 6:00pm today at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital.
Torrential rain forced the authorities concerned to stop the game at the venue on Sunday night.
The sensational cricket game came to a halt when Rangpur were batting first. They amassed 55 runs in 7 overs, losing only one wicket.
Rangpur Riders will pick up wherefrom they left off on Sunday. This unique phenomenon rose out of necessity as there was no reserve day for Qualifier-2. This was the only solution that both the teams agreed upon.
Earlier, Comilla Victorians skipper Tamim Iqbal won the toss and chose to bowl first.
Rangpur made a brisk start despite explosive batsman Chris Gayle being dismissed cheaply for 3 runs.
His partner Johnson Charles was unbeaten with 46 runs off 26 balls along with Brendon McCullum (3).
