Sun receives 1500 tons waste paper from Airtel for reproduction

Airtel Bangladesh has joined hands with daily Sun in reducing the waste paper to save the environment. They donated 1500 tons of waste paper to Daily Sun at a program at the conference hall of the East West Media Group Limited at Bashundhara City yesterday.
SK Mukhopodhay, Chief Financial Officer of Airtel Bangladesh handed over the materials to the Editor of Daily Sun Professor Dr. Syed Anwar Husain. The Editor of Kaler Kantho Abed Khan, Editor of Bangladesh pratidin Shajahan Sarder, Editor of banglanews24.com.bd Alamgir Hossain, Head of Corporate and SME Sales of Airtel Bangladesh Adil Hossain Noble and Assistant Manager, Marketing Md. Asaduzzaman were also present at the program.
East west Media Group Limited is renowned in the country for using recycled paper for publishing their news outlets – Daily Sun, Kaler Kantho and Bangladesh Pratidin. Airtel comes forward with 1500 tons of waste paper material to contribute in reduction of the environment pollution in unison with the East West Media Group Limited.
“We are concerned about the ever increasing pollution of our environment. EWMGL has taken an excellent initiative to reuse the paper materials for their publication. We wanted to make good use of our used paper materials and giving it to Daily Sun for reproduction is the best way to use it, we think”, says Mr. Mukhopodhay.
Professor Dr. Syed Anwar Husain thanked Airtel Bangladesh for their noble effort. He called the other organizations to step up to help Bangladesh.
