‘Toggi World Lekhar Lorai’ winners get prizes
The prize giving ceremony of ‘Toggi World Lekhar Lorai’, a handwriting contest for school goers, was held at Mohammadpur Preparatory School and College the Dhaka on Wednesday.
Toggi World is a theme park specially designed for children located at Bashundhara City shopping mall.
Toggi World General Manager Hanif Hakim and Bashundhara City General Manager Asif Ferdous jointly handed over the prizes among the winners.
Mohammadpur Preparatory vice-principles Rowshan Ara Begum and Aleya Chowdhury, Assistant Teacher Sharmina Akhter and Toggi World Senior Brand Executive Maruf Amin, among others, were present on the occasion.
“The main goal of the competition is to motivate the new generation to improve their handwriting. Everyone now tends to e-mail or send messages to mobile phones and our children spend too much time on technology-based devices. We hope, children will keep tradition of handwriting,” Toggi World authorities claimed in a statement.
There were some 100 students who participated in two groups from five schools in the competition. Kaler Kantho Editor Imdadul Haq Milon was the chief judge of the competition. Top fifteen participants from five schools will compete at the grand final which will be held in June.
At Mohammadpur Preparatory, Jubayer Shoirok won title of Challenger Group while Wafia Jahan Abira and Khandakar Maisha secured second and third position respectively.
