Bashundhara Shuvosangho opens sewing training centre in Ctg

A sewing training center for insolvent women was inaugurated under the initiative of Bashundhara Shuvo Sangh, a readers’ platform of daily Kaler Kantho, at Boalkhali upazila in the district on Friday.
The inaugural ceremony of the center was held at the Syedpur Multipurpose High School Hall room.

Bashundhara Shuvosangha Boalkhali unit President Nurul Abshar Hira presided over the ceremony where Boalkhali Municipality Mayor Zahurul Islam Zahur, Shuvo Sangha Central General Secretary Rana Mitra, Kaler Kantho Chattogram Bureau Chief Mustafa Nayeem,  Boalkhali Press Club President Md Sirajul Islam, General Secretary Yasin Chowdhury, Municipal Ward-9 Councilor Jahangir Alam, Rural Electrification Director Ashraf Uddin Jewel, Nasrin Sultana, Yasmin Riku and Kaler Kantho Boalkhali Correspondent SM Naim Uddin were present as guests.

Mayor Zahurul in his speech said he was very happy to know that Shuvo Sangha will provide a sewing machine to every trainee upon completion of the training.
The trainee women will become self-reliant after getting sewing machines, he said.

The mayor also thanked the Shuvo Sangha for taking such initiative to make the poor women solvent.
