Daily Kaler Kantho Circulation exeeds 200,000 copies

Mr. Ahmed Akbar Sobhan was addressing a gathering of newsmen, officials and employees of the daily Kaler Kantho organized to celebrate achievement of exceeding 200 thousand copies circulation mark only within three months of launching the paper at the news paper’s office this (Saturday) morning. “Making ultimate welfare to the trade, commerce and expedite socio-economic emancipation should be the motto of the mass media,” he pointed out putting more emphasis on healthy competition among the mass media. He also welcomed existing mass media at the race of doing betterment of the people and pledged not letting the EWMGL news outlets become the weapon of business hunting and vested interests. “We don’t want to be an opponent to any quarter but a competitor of sporting spirit,” he added. Referring to the series of hurdles on the way of bringing out the operating and upcoming news outlets, he said that integrity, impartiality and authenticity above all collective efforts of the team helped a lot in overcoming those hurdles in true sense. He also announced a special increment for all attached with the daily Kaler Kantho as recognition to their untiring efforts and the subsequent success. Chairman of the East West Media Group Limited and the publisher of the daily Kaler Kantho Mr. Mostafa Kamal Mohiuddin, Editor of the daily Mr. Abed Khan, Executive Editor Mr. Amit Habib, Planning Editor Mr. Mustafiz Shafi, Associate Editor Mezbah Uddin and Press and Media Advisor to the BG Mohammad Abu Tayeb among others addressed the function. Eminent writer and Joint Editor of the paper Mr. Emdadul Haque Milan conducted the program. Later, the senior newsmen and officials of the newspaper presented floral bouquet and a memento containing the photo of the Bashundhara Group Chairman and the first issue of the daily Kaler Kantho to Mr. Ahmed Akbar Sobhan.
